BA Hons Fine Art Printmaking at The Southampton Institute
Moxey’s mixed media creations read like a survey map of constellations, contours
of the sea bed and satellite images of dense urban areas.
The primary focus of her work is the process by which it is created. Through the
nature and expression of her marks, we are invited to be critically aware of how
Moxey’s own responses affect us.
Using an abundant variety of marks, Moxey explores how ideas are transmitted and
communicated. By working in series she is able to investigate how the repetition
and morphing of marks can change its meaning, and examine what information is necessary
to express the related ideas.
