I enjoy each silk painting’s process.
Stretching the silk by hand on hand bent bamboo or wooden frames with extreme care, preparing the pure pigments, drawing on silk with a tiny brush, making sure there are no mistakes. I have been practicing painting with these fine lines for 17 years and feel that the artist has never fully learnt. So I continue to learn and practice and look for a new soul in this ancient form of painting.
All my silk paintings come from my life experience, family stories, yellow-plum opera and my imaginations.
